The Moorings and Sunsail have announced several  new locations in the past year: Annapolis, Miami, the Pacific Northwest, and a Sunsail base in San Francisco. But the story at the Annapolis Sailboat Show this year was the Moorings 5800, a purpose-built catamaran intended for both bareboat and crewed yacht charter. The helm station has great visibility, easy access to lines and winches, and room for a suite of electronics on the dash. An aft platform lowers to create a "beach" for dinghies or sunbathers; when raised, it also stores the dinghy out of the water.
